WELCOME TO TFS!
We came up with “Training For Success” in the winter months of 2015. Our intention, right from the beginning, was to create an opportunity for our running community to gather, challenge each other, strive, excel and achieve their very best. As the great Steve Prefontaine said: ”To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift.”
We have now been running the program for three seasons, which have seen athletes of all distances and levels compete in races in Hawaii, San Francisco, New York, and Chicago. We tailor our programs to meet each individual athlete’s needs and goals. While our running shoes may carry us to the farthest ends of the world, our programs create such an incredible sense of dedication to running, camaraderie, family, and fun that many of our athletes return season after season.
MEET YOUR COACHES
Dom Chelini (out of date)
Dom is an incredibly passionate distance runner who continually seeks to not only improve himself, but also to help other striving athletes improve and find themselves through running and training.
“Although I ran track and cross country all four years of high school at Junipero Serra, I credit the start of my education about athletic discipline and pain tolerance in training to six years of Pop Warner football for the Bayside Broncos,” Dom say. “I had great coaches in both sports; Jim Garrity, Will McCarthy, and Ron DiMaggio. After several years without training, in the fall of 2013 I decided to start running again to lose weight. Soon I rediscovered my love for running and got back into the competitive nature of it. I lost 40 pounds and have gone from a 1:30 half marathon to a 1:14 in less than three years. And I’m not stopping there either, as I plan on running 1:12 or under this year and running my first marathon! I’m looking forward to my second year of leading workouts for the TFS program!”
